In This World
By Trey Buckrham
In this world today, we can’t walk outside without being scared.
Something happen we call 9-1-1 they don’t hurry that’s not fair. Call in a black community and they lag. Another day another hashtag. They come and kill us for no reason. Killing us like it’s a black open season. We gotta stand up can’t let this go on. What they doing to us is just wrong. Can't let this go on, so let’s make something happen. A world with no more black lives taken, can you imagine? Like 9-1-1 please help it’s an emergency. If the skin color was different they’d probably move with some urgency. Are they that scared that they have to kill? I used to think it was fake then realized it was real. Family scared hoping they kids come home alive. Some police just don’t care they just want to take more young black lives. Some police good they care about our lives. They really protect and serve, hoping that we don’t die. Black lives matter keep the movement going. But how can we depend on them if their guns keep blowing. It just ain’t fair for blacks in the U.S.A. It seem like nowadays a black die from cops every other day. We just come here and live in joy and peace. Prayers to all blacks and their families. |
